I just upgraded my 7.0.1 to CS, and was told it would uninstall the V7 in the process by Adobe. It didn’t, and I now have both V7 and CS on the machine… Can I safely uninstall V7, or are there shared files in the OS that will get deleted as well??? Thanks!

I haven’t done this myself, but I imagine it would be just fine. If necessary, you can re-install CS.

I suppose that if you are going to delete shared files you get a warning with the option of not doing it.

If you have Windows XP, I sujest you create a restoring point before you uninstal PS7 and thus have a safe copy of you original programs Sytem restore is in: All programs==>Accessories==>Sytem tolls==>Sytem restore

You can safely delete PS7 after installing PSCS, at least I did and had no problems. As far as I can see there are no shared files.
