Good morning:

I am experiencing problems opening TIF/TIFF files. Using Windows2000 with PhotoShop 7, I am trying to open TIF/TIFF files directly from the file itself (double-clicking) and when PhotoShop opens, the page is blank. If you proceed to File, Open, and reselect the file from within PhotoShop, the file will then open properly.

A couple observations: a) the icon on the file itself appears to be the "default" .doc Windows icon (as in, unrecognizable application) associated to the file. You can select it’s default and set to "always use" but that seems to make no difference. b) PhotoDeluxe was installed over PhotoShop and that’s when this problem started. PhotoDeluxe was uninstalled and that did not resolve the problem.

Any assistance in this matter from all members posting to the Board would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
