First, test and see if anything else will acquire an image, like any other image editing program. If your scanner has standalone software, see if that successfully scans.

Reinstall your twain software, if that doesn’t help, reinstall photoshop.

Hmmm.. Importing a scanner?

I’ve never tried that, I usually just import the scans..

Perhaps the Photoshop "Customs House," "excise" or "VAT" plug-ins are messed up..

To minimize potential problems I’d make sure that I have a G-10 nation made & "GATT" approved scanner before I imported it..

It was too much to resist..

What? No custom for exporting Keith? Well, well, we will just have to start one.

D.Lee,

I have moved your duplicate Topic (and replies) to join this, your original post.

Please do not post more than once for one problem. Keeping everything in a single Topic will not only make it far easier for you to find the relevant replies, but has the added advantage of avoiding upsetting the natives…

I wonder if importing my scanner and scanning at home creates more jobs in my home country than exporting a scanner made here and outsourcing the scans overseas?

Why, oh why, is there never an economist around when I need one?

"Are those drums I hear off in the distance?"

Fortunately, this is the Photoshop Windows forum, not that uncivilized deep & darkest of continents: The Photoshop Lounge.. You could be eaten by primitive cannibals and find your shrunken head the eternal trophy of some village witch doctor or moderator there for duplicate posts..

Remember to take your Quinine if you venture there..
