try ‘File’ > ‘Automatic’ > ‘Contact sheet’
and import your pics in contact sheets of 2 pics/page

Hope this helps

Use Photoshop to combine both pictures into one bigger picture, or use page layout software like MS Publisher.

Use Photoshop’s (in v7 and CS – not sure about previous versions) Picture Package (File / Automate / Picture Package). It’s designed to do exactly what you want – but you’ll probably find 2 8×6’s is pushing it unless you have an A3 printer.

You can design custom formats for Picture Package too – full instructions in Photoshop’s Help.

Hope this is of use

Step 1. Make sure you have a printer that will accommodate 12" x 16" paper or larger.

Step 2. Make sure you have 12" x 16" paper or larger.

Step 3. Open a new file and set the size to 12" x 16" or larger.

Step 4. Open Picture #1 > select all > copy

Step 5. Click back to the new file and paste. Position the image.

Step 6. Open Picture #2 > select all > copy

Step 7. Click back to the new file and paste. Position the image.

Step 8. Flatten image. Save as .jpg.

Step 9. Print.

The "or larger" allows for a margin.

The above requires that Picture #1 and #2 are 6" x 8" before the copy/paste steps. If not, resize or crop to the sizes. The dpi should be no more than 150 or the file will take forever to print. For average home photos, 150 is adequate. You can copy/paste larger than 6" x 8" if you free transform, but let’s make it easy.
