…….. this has never happen before in all my years with Photoshop.

I work on an image and then want to save it as a jpeg or a Tiff.

A window opens up saying this is already open and I can’t save it unless I rename it or close out the original.

Well, even if I make a copy of the original I get the same warning.

Naturally I can NOT close that image- I just spent hours working on it.

BUT it does allow me to save the image a a Photo Shop File. Then:

1) I close Photoshop.
2) Open it again.
3) Open the Photoshop file.
4) And then "Save As" and at last it allows for me to save the image as a Tiff or Jpeg. Then I go back and delete the Photoshop File.

This is driving me nuts… and it’s a short trip.

Help?

I have been having the same problem but I get around it by saving in another directory. But I don’t know why its happening – hope someone can let us know!
