Rasterize text layer, Photoshop freezes

Hiya
Running PS7 under XP Pro. And for some reason every time I rasterize a text layer, the program freezes – I have to force quit it every time.
No idea why it’s started doing this…
Any help, gratefully received.

As always, when PS shows a random error, try resetting prefs [per FAQ].
