Clicking on a *.psd file opens PhotoShop but does not open the file I clicked on – I then have to use the File menu to track down the file to open it.

This started after I reinstalled Mac OS X 10.2.8. Clicking on other file types (excel, dreamweaver, etc.) opens them in their respective applications as expected – PhotoShop is the only problem.

Is there a fix?

Thanks.

Select the file-> Get Info (Apple Key + i). Under the "Open with" select the application Photoshop and click the button that says "Use this application to open all documents like this." Done.

Ib addition to what Tcit wrote:

This is most commonly due to installing Photoshop CS before doing an archive and install of Mac OS10.3.

The easiest solution is to reinstall Photoshop CS after you have installed Mac OS10.3.

Open your Previous System folder.
Find "Adobe Unit Types".
Copy it into: <Panther volume>/Library/ScriptingAdditions/ .
