Type tool stuck in ALL CAPS

Hi,
I am new to this forum but have been using Photoshop 7.0.1 (Windows) for about a year. I have discovered a recent problem this week – when I try to use the type tool, no matter what font I’m using, the type comes out in all CAPS. Extremely frustrating. I’ve searched the forum and help sections for appropriate topics. I’ve tried re-installing the program, but it seems to remember exactly where the program left off and the CAPS problem is still there. Anyone here have ideas of what to try next?

Click on the type tool, look in the options bar towards the right. Open the character palette and make sure that Caps is not toggled on at the bottom of the palette.

Yes, that must have been the problem, although when I did look at the character palette the Caps was not toggled. The problem has corrected itself, or maybe it was positive thinking!
