Trying to achieve a box that is has a curved top and bottom like at www.chingy.com

with the vector shape tool – draw a standard rectangle.

with the pen tool, click on that rectangle where you want the box to curve. that will add a point to the rectangle, drag that point outside of the box..

Christopher, I couldn’t get to the URL you posted, I get a page not found error. But, I can guess what you want. Draw a rectangle or box with the shape tool. Make sure to select the pen tool. Ctrl click on the edge of the box with the pen tool to select the box, left up on the Ctrl key, move the pen tool to the upper or lower edge until a small plus sign shows up, click at the point at the middle of the border to place a new node, hold down Ctrl key until cursor becomes white click and drag the new node up or down. Don’t forget to stroke the path or fill the shape if that is what you want.
