Granny, if version 5.5 won’t work with Eye Candy 3 (which I really doubt, as I think I ran those two together, IIRC– I know I ran 6 with EC3) the likelihood that 4 will work is really slim. I think you may have some other problem going on.
If you got 5.5 from Adobe, try contacting their tech support. I’m sure they can help you…. and if you have a legit copy of 5 or 5.5 and REALLY want/need 4, they can probably even do that for you.

Hm-m-m, my copy of PS 5.0 runs just fine with EyeCandy 3.0, as does PS 4.1. I cannot image what the problem would be. By the way, EyeCandy 3.0 runs perfectly with 6.0.1, 7.1 & CS. I’ll probably upgrade to EC 4.0, just to have the latest and to support good people, who have produced a nice set of plug-ins since the Alien Skin days.
Do you have a SN for Eye Candy 3.0? About the time that the name changed, you couldn’t just drag the files into one’s plug-in directory any longer, and expect it to work, without the SN for the first lap.
Sorry that I don’t have any ideas as to why your config won’t go. What system, OS, etc. are you trying to run? Did your install of PS work fine and was it clean, or have you had to do several uninstalls/re-installs? I’d suspect that you may be low on RAM (EC likes a bunch for many of its filters), or that PS is corrupt and needs to total clean install.
