Hello,

I would like to add an effect similar to one presented at http://www.ente.pl/example.jpg. Any ideas how I can do it/?

You would need to use the gradient tool – under the fill tool – set your foreground colour to red – then on the toolbar – choose foreground to transparent in the drop down box – and the linear gradient – then just draw a line across your image (Use a new layer then you can blend it later) you need to experiment with where to draw the line.

I should have called it – under the ‘paint bucket tool’ – not the fill tool!!

you can make it an adjustment layer by clicking the half moon icon at bottom of layers palette
make sure to choose the color in the palette first
select gradient
choose the transparent to foreground
