I recently reinstalled because of problems with PS 7. I have managed to reinstall it but now can’t add teh 7.0.1 update. I have installed and reinstalled PS7 several times but still no joy with the update.

Any ideas

Do you get an error message? What happens? Need more info.

It just tells me that PS is not found in the specified folder (where of course, it is) and tells me to reinstall PS. I have looked for advice on the Adobe site and all they say is reinstall PS if you get problems…. I can’t keep reinstalling!

Hello Martin

This is an error that you can get with a set range of Serial Numbers which Adobe have declared as ‘dodgy’. Basically it is a range of numbers which have been used for piraye copies of Photoshop 7.0

If your copy is legal, and I am sure it is, contact Adobe and they will put things right for you.

Regards

Clive

It is either your anti virus software that is causing a problem (disable it when trying to install the update) or you have a blacklisted reg number (get in contact with Adobe).

I agree with Nicholas . Adobe blacklisted a lot of reg numbers to prevent Warez downloads being upgraded.
