Where did my eraser go????

I only have the background eraser on my tools list, but I know that the regular eraser was used before.

Did I do something that zapped it???

Depends on your PS version, but either click and hold or right-click on the tool and you’ll see what other tools are hidden underneath. That’s where your eraser is hiding. This applies to several tools. Have a play.
