I have been experimenting a little with taking pictures in RAW format and trying to edit them in PS. Now when I open a RAW picture it gives me that editing box with color temperature and many other settings. My question is, once I have hit OK after selecting certain settings, can I ever reopen that box? I didn’t see how.

Thanks,

Peter

Hi.

Once you have done the RAW conversion, you will then be able to "save" the converted image in a different format, (PSD or Tiff).

You should still have the original RAW File, and when you re-open it in PS, you will get the Converter screen again.

Treat your RAW files as originals and archive them, just like we all used to keep our Film Negatives.

The original RAW image thumbnail will look like the converted version, but that is only because Ps remembers the settings you used for the first conversion in a "sidecar" XMP file. You can still apply a different set of conversions, and save that as a different version from the previously converted version.

Yeah, I had a feeling that’s how it worked. Thanks a lot!
