can’t get 1-pixel pencil…

when I’m working w/pencil tool, if I want a pencil that’s 1 pixel in size it gives me a pencil of two pixels instead (two pixels high and two pixels wide.. I want a pencil that’s 1 x 1 pixel… why does’t that work?? the smallets I can get it is 2 x 2 pixels..) thank you..

Are you sure? The smallest preset brush default is one pixel. What happens when you select that? All I can think is that you have a funky setting in Shape Dynamics. Are you using a stylus?

Make sure you do actually have the ‘pencil’ tool selected and not the ‘paintbrush’…

Also make sure you have dynamics turned off…
