Hi, all – I had PS 4.0 years ago, but a friend has 7.0, windows system. I was helping him make a small anigif, icon size, but I see up in the top left had corner of the image canvas, what looks like two boxes, one has a number in it, the other I can’t tell, and they aren’t "clickable" nor does a mouse hover tell us what they are. I don’t ever remember that in 4, or even 6.0, which he had before this.

What are those, and is there a way to "hide" them, because the are almost as big as the actual size of the icon we’re working on.

Thanks in advance!

Slices piss me off. You decide to use them on ONE file, and then forevermore after that you are using the ‘hide slices’ function on every other file, because there they are. I hate those slices!!!!!!!!

<nodding> Yeah, I hear ya. The upside is that once you turn them off, when you close your last image with them off, they won’t appear again. Works kinda the same way as the ruler units in an image, when switching between pixels and inches.
