My computer is partitioned, and the C drive is small, and I like to keep
it
as neat as possible. I am running Win2K. I was wondering, does anyone know if it is safe to delete or move the FileBrowser data that is written to
the
Application Data folder on the C: drive? The files have no extension, and
I
don’t know what they are, but I am assuming they have something to do with the thumbnails that are displayed in the browser. I tried opening one, but Photoshop doesn’t recognize it. I’ve got about 200 mgs sitting there that would be nice to free up. Thankees.

If you delete it PS will just create another one. As you open folders you’ll have to wait for it to refresh the thumbs. You can just rename the folder to see for yourself.

So rather than moving it, I assume it is safe just to flush it every now and then?

Wendeebee,

One would assume PS would eventually update the cache. I can’t answer your question but if you can’t wait, flush it and see what happens.

I did it earlier today, and it seems fine. I opened up the folder after I used it again, and it does update. I didn’t realize how much space that was taking up. Thanks for the info, I wouldn’t have tried it without your input.
