I’m running a P4 system with 1Gb RAM, Windows XP Home SP2. I’ve run previous versions of PS on this machine with no problem – plenty of speed. Having upgraded to CS2 (from CS) I’m now experiencing a very frustrating problem which is affecting my work. Basically, whenever I use the eyedropper tool to sample a colour (or when I Ctrl and drag over an image with Curves open on a channel to sample colour range) my system takes a long time to calculate the result. There’s lots of hard drive spinning for about 2 minutes before I can use CS2 again. I’m using a seperare scratch disc and, like I’ve said, have never had any issues with running PS on this system before. Any ideas on what’s going on? Thanks.
