Recently I have become unable to print color photographs with my 1280 using Photoshop 7 after stable use for a long time. The preview and printed images have an oversaturated pink cast. This happens whether using Adobe color management or using the printer driver only. I calibrate my monitor and use color management. I have a Canon 960 and do not see this problem with preview and printing on the Canon. I have recalibrated the monitor and deleted/reinstalled the Epson drivers with no luck. I have an old copy of Kai Photosoap (don’t ask why) that has no color management: the Epson preview Window and print do not have the pink/reddish cast seen with Photoshop. Which part of the Photoshop color management chain, specific to the Epson 1280, might have become corrupted? I deleted and reinstalled the icm profiles (this is a Windows XP machne) but again no improvement. I guess I will try reinstalling Photoshop next. I am even willing to upgrade to CS if that will solve the problem.
