Using XP, photoshop cs1, I get a vertical banding effect on prints using my R1800 epson printer either heavyweight matte or premium glossy paper. Printing the same file through the epson easy photo print program does NOT give this vertical banding effect. Is there a rational explanation and solution to this. Thanks Ian

No. Well, I suppose there is, but we would need a little more information. What are you printing? i.e. Photo, generated gradients, etc. What are your printer settings?

I get no banding on my R800 and never have.
