Why Do the "Extras" Keep Shoing Up When an Image is Loaded?

Every time I load the first image in Photoshop CS2,
I get the "Extras" grid showing from the "View" menu. How do I stop this from happening? It doesn’t stop
happening when I deselect the "Extras" menu item. Thanks!

Turn them off. View>Show>Show Extras Options.
