"horizontal text tool" is not working

The "horizontal text tool" is not working.

When I type into a text-box, the text appears on top of the text-box. I also cannot get the text-box to have multiple lines of text. Yesterday, the text-boxes worked perfectly. I am not sure why they are currently not working.

Does anyone know what is wrong with my horizontal text tool?

The Leading value is set to ‘auto’. Everything in the ‘Character’ and ‘Paragraph’ tabs appear to match the settings of the computer next to me. The computer next to me is not having this problem.

We removed the profile, and reinstalled Photoshop. The problem is fixed now.
