I have a normal landscape photo and I’d like an effect to make it look like as reflected in a water puddle.

Any idea?

(hope I made me understood..)

Flip it upside down, make it a bit darker and use Filter – Distort – Ocean Ripple’ or ‘Wave’ or ‘ZigZag’.

that’s good

and for a broken glass effect? I mean like a texture, like if the picture was made by peaces of a broken glass.

Do i need a photo and then try with the texture?

Try the free version of Flaming Pear’s Flood plugin.

‘Flood’ isn’t free. There is a free demo, but the full version is commercial.

Yes, it is cool.

and do you have any idea for the broken glass effect?

Perhaps you could describe it a little more. Do you just want a facetted look – in which case check out the Stained Glass filter that comes with Photoshop, or do you want the pieces to be shifted slightly, similar to a broken mirror or cubist look?

Is there any plugin? I’m trying mo make a cover for a cd we’ve just recorded. Nothing special, just 3 songs…
If you have any funny idea…. We have our name (Reversibile) and a logo that I’m still drawing..

I was looking for some strange effect… thought the broken glass was good…

Here’s a procedure that creates a broken mirror effect using Displace and Stained Glass. These are filters that come with Photoshop.

1) Create an image of roughly the same dimensions as your original
2) add noise
3) Use the stained glass filter to create a pattern whose pieces are the size of the broken glass you want
4) Save the stained glass pattern as a psd file
5) Click on the image you want to break into pieces
6) Select Filter>Distort>Displace…
7) Set the Horizontal and Vertical scale to 100 – this controls how far the pieces of glass move
8) Click OK, and see if you like the look – if not, do an undo, and repeat with a different scale setting

If you prefer not to have the edges of the pieces show so clearly, use Filter>Other>Maximum to remove the outlines of the stained glass sections created in step 3.
