Hi,

I am new to Photoshop and I would like a good beginner book on Photoshop CS.. Which one would you recommend? I have seen Adobe Photoshop C S one-on-one by Dede MC Clelland and I wonder if it would be a good book for beginners. I want a book with a CD so that I can do exercices with the same images than what is illustrated in the book.

Photoshop CS Artistry by Haynes and Crumpler. It’s basically a course on how to use PS and comes with a CD of images to work on. And it’s well written once you get past the platitudes in the introduction.

I like Adobe Press Classroom in a book Series. For Photoshop search ISBN 032119375X. Feel free to use another learning tool as everyone is different and everyone learns differently. I’ve found the series very well done, very helpful and, for me at least, the right blend of technical explanations and "here’s the basics of how to do this, now experiment on your own".
