Hi,

I am running CS2 and when I load the program it hangs for quite some time (over 45 secs) when displaying ‘Reading preferences’ on the ‘loading screen’..I have played about with the preferences and sought answeres elsewhere on the net but really stuck on this one….anyone with any ideas?

Thanks

Hm-m-m, 45 seconds seems a bit long. I’d save my prefs, then do the 3-finger salute as soon as PS starts to load. Let it build new prefs and see how long it takes. From CS1, there is a bit of a lag (hourglass comes, goes, comes back, then blinks) as PS "phones home." It does load more slowly, but yours seems a bit extra slow, especially hanging on Loading Preferences. My slowsdown is noted after the program desktop has fully opened.
