Hello all,

Relatively new to photoshop and I’m working on a project where I have an image that is a perfect square at 5×5 inches. I want to change the image into a perfect circle with a diameter of 5 inches WITHOUT any cropping. The resulting image should have an effective fish eye lense or wide angle look to it.

Is this possible?

Thanks

Bill

P.S. please email me if possible at

Can’t guarantee image quality, but: Make sure your image is on a transparent layer by Ctrl-clicking on Background in Layers Palette if needed. Image>Canvas Size 300%. Filter>Spherize at 100% six times in a row. Transform to 25%.

These instructions are for 72 ppi. May be different for higher resolutions.

Probably could be done better with another program or plugin. —

No. And Yes. All RGB images are square/rectangular and can’t be anything else. However, you can distort the image within the square.
