Cool group. I was just wondering if 7 was better. I’ve heard that CS you have to register it at their website and although its the newest one it doesnt really have anything better than 7. also is the interface different in each and are the features in 7 still in CS? Also, again, is there a difference in versions (is the Mac version different than the PC version ) in photoshop 7? In CS?
Thanks
Others have answered the questions of differences and the activation situation is no big deal. I’ve essentially had to do the same thing with several graphics programs when I upgraded after a few iterations and the built-in database in the install program didn’t recognize my SN. Adobe has been very helpful, as has MacroMedia in that respect. If you are a legal licensee, it’s instant and a piece of cake. I have yet to have to do a re-install, and depending on how that goes, when it does happen, I may change my tune, but I kinda’ doubt it.
My feeling too is that CS is a winner, and I doubt that I’ll ever use my 7 again, though I still have 4.0.x on one machine for a special task for one specific client. I use it maybe twice a year. CS is so much like 7 in its interface, that I don’t feel the need to have 7 as a crutch in crunch-time, like I did with 5 -> 6 (I never did get 5.5). There, the interfaces changed enough, that I kept fumbling for the right Tool, or the right keyboard command. It took a bit to go that route, then again with 7. CS is a dream, for me.
