Is there any way to transfer a text layer (including font types, sizes, line spacing, etc.) from Photoshop to Illustrator without rasterizing?

I did a complex text layer in PS7 that I would like to have in AI10, but would rather not have to recreate it from scratch.

Save as PDF and open in Illustrator

Shouldn’t be a problem as long as you have the fonts installed.

make a path out of it (make it a selection and then on the paths pallete select make path – keep the tolerance low) and export paths to illustrator
