I remember it’s Control or shift drag from one window to another then the screen location of the source retained in the target file.

It does not work??

Thanks,

Hi there cpliu,

Not that I do this often, but I _think_ if you right click (Ctrl + Click) on the specific layer, choose Duplicate layer and choose the picture that layer has to be copied to in the requester that popups next, the layer gets copied and positioned ‘about’ the same as in the original file.
That is, when the ‘new’ file has other proportions, the pasted layer might not fit in the same place at all.

Mind you, this really is a hunch.

With kind regards,
