Any Andy Worhal fans in here ever experimented with some of the colors/effects he used in PS??? I have a friend who wants me to try something, i just don’t know where to start….

I don’t believe Andy Warhol ever used photoshop – his genre was printmaking or silkscreening – all hand done. I have done some homages to warhol:

click on illustration and you can see

I did this with a combination of converting the images to greyscale; posterizing; playing with levels; converting back to RGB and then mixing colors and layers to achieve the warhol effect – albeit paling in comparison to Warhol.

There is an old freeware program called Satori PhotoXL Version 2.29 that contains two Warhol FX. Warhol 2 is especially cool.

I’ve never done it .. but I would try first..
(using the adjustment layers) a posterize ..
then a hue saturation.. to color it.
