When I click the Action palette option button (little triangle at top right corner of palette) – The button indicates it is pressed but nothing happens. Everything else seems to work OK. Photoshop 7, OS is Win98

Any ideas? TIA
Keith

Keith,

It’s possible that you have too many actions loaded into the action palette. There is a known limitation due to Win98. Hopefully, you have all of your actions saved, because in essence you will probably have to delete the Actions Palette.psp and let photoshop recreate it when it starts up. Then you can re-load your actions from disk.

That’s the only thing I can think of.

The Actions Palette.psp on most win98 systems is located in C:\WINDOWS\Application Data\Adobe\Photoshop\7.0\Adobe Photoshop 7.0 Settings

Just know that when you delete that file (I would rename it instead), that Photoshop will recreate the Actions Palette.psp and none of your previously loaded actions will be there. That’s one of the reasons why I routinely back that file up – just in case.

Peace,
Tony
