I have recently completed my personal portfolio site.

It is non-functional from a user perspective. I really do not care to spend all day trying to figure out or get around your user interface for a site that is ultimately about you.

I am just selfish that way. 🙂

Dean,

A lot of work went into this probably. I hate to burst your bubble but:

a) I personally hate flash-sites that don’t need flash
b) it’s counter-intuitive, I haven’t got a clue what you are "selling"

i gotta agree with the others…..although the site is kinda "kewl" looking….i dont think you should make visitors have to guess their way around. Surfers are lazy people who want their information fast and want to have easy to figure out navigation. It is always a temptation to over design when first starting out…..i do think there are clever bells and whistles that one can develop that will impress people in the know (i spent an entire weekend working on a flash navigation bar. If you are a user..you would never know how much work went into it…but if you were a developer…you MIGHT just go….ooohh..neat).

I guess my point is…sometimes less is more…more or less. If you want to show off your portfolio…focus on showing off your portfolio….dont let the design of your site be such a distraction.

Just MHO here

keep up the good work dean
