I have Photoshop CS and am disappointed with the fonts available – can I improve the selection by downloading extra fonts from somewhere? I tried downloading a single font but can’t work out where to put the file so that it works in Photoshop.

I do know how to install fonts in windows but how does that affect photoshop – does photoshop use the windows fonts?

Your response is so helpful – you’re obviously an expert in your field – ask me a question about my job and I’ll tell you how dumb you are.

Wow, why don’t you go cry to your mommy, if his reply pissed you off that much you really need to grow some balls… and stop watching Bette Midler movies. He *did* give you a helpful reply in "try the help files" where a "font" search results in "In addition to the fonts installed on your system, …:" so it says right there that if it’s on your system it’ll show up in Photoshop. Sorry the answer wasn’t handed to you on a silver platter but in the time it took you to post your question and crybaby reply you could have easily found the answer within Photoshop but, like so many lazy people, you want others to do everything for you… so sad.

In summary, any font you install into Windows shows up in Photoshop. There are no special tricks or tactics to this, just install it and it’s there, done.

You’re not very observant, are you?

Why would I want to know about whatever shit job it is you have?

Hi Dave,
Looks like everyone would rather take more time to flame you than it takes to help you. Normally, it’s a pretty mature newsgroup.
Just install the fonts through control panel/fonts in windows. True type or homemade fonts may appear a little rough compared to adobe fonts, but just work in a high resolution and you’ll be fine.
