Hi –
I have CS2 installed on my Mac and whenever I start Photoshop, it takes literally minutes to get through the "scanning for presets" load. I have gone into the presets manager and made sure there aren’t a lot of excess presets – there are not. Any help?

Thanks,
Doug

you tried deleting preferences or starting it with default settings by using
ALT +CTRL +DEL?

I haven’t found a way to delete preferences. I deleted some unwanted presets in the Preset Manager. Does Alt-Ctrl-Del work on a Mac? I looked through menus and didn’t see an option for using default settings…

Thanks

Right from the Photoshop Help menu:

(Mac OS only) Open the Preferences folder in the Library folder, and drag the Adobe Photoshop CS Settings folder to the Trash.
New Preferences files are created the next time you start Photoshop or ImageReady.

Thanks – I did that and the problem wasn’t solved. I guess i’m going to need to reinstall. I can’t think of any other solution.
