The only thing I know is that there is a Photshop ME version (Middle East) that may be the issue.

Enahxus,

I don’t even now if Photoshop ME WOULD solve your problem with Turkish. Is Turkish a right_to_left writing language? If it is, Photoshop ME should solve your problem, but you would have to purchase it.

If it isn’t it right_to_left writing ME wouldn’t help, but Photoshop CS with it’s Unicode support, using a Turkish Unicode font would.

don’t you need to set a code page in xp or something as well?

well first I would ask is the turkish font a True-type font or an open type font… you can only use open type font and get the whole unicode thing… So make sure its an OPen type font. Also Photoshop 5.5 does have support for unic-ode and open type fonts but i would reccomend updating to photoshop cs

Andrew regarding your comments about Open Type Fonts vs True Type, I’ve found the following blurb regarding a Hebrew language font pack for the US version of CS:

If you work in any of the leading graphic programs such as; Quark – Correl – Adobe Photoshop or Adobe Illustrator even Microsoft Publisher and PowerPoint you will need these fonts to add Hebrew and type from "right to Left". Until now you either had to buy the expensive Hebrew Version of these programs or learn to type Hebrew Backwards… Anyone who ever tried that, knows what a hassle that is! So forget about those days and forget about buying expensive Hebrew versions… Now if you want Hebrew all you need is to install these True Type Fonts and you are "off an away" typing Hebrew like a normal person!

The manufacturer assured me that this is the way to get Hebrew fonts in the English PSCS. The product is called "Hebrew Graphic Fonts" by TES. Could someone confirm this for me please?

Adam.
