a) How do I change the ‘save as’ default file type (for instance to SGI RGB) in Photoshop 6?

b) How do I suppress (default to no) the dialog box that pops up asking "Use run-length compression?" ?

Together these repetitive choices make up about 1/3rd of user interaction for a process we commonly use and circumventing them would save considerable time.

Even in an action the compression dialog box required user input. Did I set up the action wrong? I recorded it with a choice made but it still halts there.

As far as the file type default, I’m still working on getting my action to take user input for the file name, but I imagine thats something in the manual I can figure out.

Thanks for your time.
