I see that certain filter was not available using large image size.

I’m interested to use the Distort > Spherize filter in a 16k x 16k / 72dpi image, but it’s unavailable. On my 4gb ram system, I need to resize the image to 11k to allow the Spherize filter use.

How to get rid of this limitation ?

Thank’s in advance

Maryo,

How to get rid of this limitation ?<<

16k is 2^16. 16k by 16k is 2^32

My guess is that the filter is limited to 32-bit integer, and therefore that limitation will remain until we go to 64-bit O/S and a 64-bit Photoshop

Thanks all for the answer,

I’ve made several other test, but the largest square size that the filter can handle is 11.500px x 11.500px.

I believe that Len wrote correcly about the 32bit limit.
