LOL, you are most likely correct. Nikon does the same thing. Sometimes Microsoft will publish dates or quarters. Due to differences in companies, I figured that if you don’t ask, you don’t have a chance to know.

you don’t really lose by upgrading now. Then when the patch is released, you can just download it and update. Adobe never charges for patches.
A completely new version is probably 18-24 months away, and you wouldn’t want that one, cause it will have bugs (as they all do, when first released).

The release with bugs is why you need to keep the previous edition on the computer. You use all the new stuff you need, then finish with the older version. It makes for a temporary pain in the sit-upon, but with the additional support for 16-bit color, shadow adjustment, and the 85 photo filter (odd how this was the default *snicker* – It looks like someone in AdobeLand had the same digital camera problem I have/had.), it is worth it for me (THIS go round).
