Hi,

When I’m trying to access the help file in Photoshop CS, I very often get this error:
< http://home18.inet.tele.dk/madsen/photoshop/cs/help_error.pn g>.

Sometimes the help file opens without the error but when I close it again and tries to open a document, or create a new one in Photoshop, I get an error saying something like: ‘Could not complete your request because of a program error’ and I have to close it. When I open it again it tells me that the scratch disk is on the same disk as my Windows page file and when it’s done loading, all the palettes are back to the default setting, so it seems as if it has trashed the prefs file by itself. What could be wrong here?

It’s a 2 X 866 Mhz P3 with 2 GB RAM and WinXP Pro SP1 installed.

Thanks Len,

It seems that I have to follow solution 1 then because I don’t have Microsoft Photo Editor, AVG Anti-Virus, Trident Software PowerZip or eMerge WinAce installed.
