Save as TIFF and no Pic shows

When I save a picture in TIFF after working to get it the way I want it. I can only view it in Photoshop. I can not go to the file and open it in Windows Picture and Fax Viewer. But I can when I just leave it as a JPEG, What am I doing wrong?

Nothing wrong. Those two apps don’t open tiffs. There’s lots of viewers out there that do. One of the best is IrfanView. Type a search for it, install it (it’s free) & happy viewing.

Hmm. I have no problem viewing tiffs with Windows Picture and Fax Viewer (it’s only one app) on XP. But yes, try another viewer.

In what ‘Mode’ is the picture saved? Some of the ‘low end’ consumer products (such as the ones you mention) will definitely have a problem with Lab images, and *might* have a problem with CMYK images.
