In the past I haven’t really used image ready but I am now going to give it a shot.

I am was a doing couple of roll overs and discovered that I hadn’t beveled a layer that I had wanted. No big deal I just went back to Photoshop 7 and added it.

Switching back in to Image ready and I discover that the new effect only shows when I am in normal mode for the in the roll over pallet. If I go to the over state it is no longer there. Not only is not showing in any of the rollovers it is not even listed in the layers pallet! I have checked the manual etc. But I can’t see why that would happen.

Has anyone ran in to this and know the fix?

Do everything you can to avoid using IR. It is an appalling piece of software which should have been strangled at birth. Almost any other of web app will do a better job. So, my advice, the best way to fix this is *don’t* use IR and keep your sanity.

Apparently you are correct.

Is IR the first Adobe product that is a dog? I guess that is why they "give" it to us.

Well, I’ve never been that thrilled with Illustrator. A vector program that pretends to be professional but can only do one page at a time? Puh-leeze. 🙂

And as for GoLive…… I finally found a use for it with the CS version. You can take InDesign projects straight into it and it’ll turn them into HTML pages. And then you can do the sensible thing and take those pages into Dreamweaver and get some real work done 🙂
