Whatever version of Windows you’re using (I’m assuming you’re not using a Mac) you can open Character Map (usually in Accessories) and bring up the particular font that you’re using. You’ll find most have these accented characters. You can then click on the character and copy and paste or, when you click on the character it will give you a number and you can use alt+number (hold down alt and tap in the number using your numeric keypad) to enter the character.

You’ve got some answers already, but if everything fails, try this:

Go to Control Panel, select Regional and Language Options, switch to Advanced tab and using the "Language for non-Unicode programs" drop-down select your version of Spanish. (BTW, this sets the ANSI code page to whatever language you select in the drop-down.)
