Hello,

Can somebody please tell me if I can add a Save-As command to an action, but that it let’s me write the name myself every time I run the Action. In other words can I stop it right before it saves the file.

Thanks in advance

Alain,

Yes, it’s easy. Click on the action you are appending to in the actions palette, then click record at the bottom of the action palette.

You are now in record mode and will append to that that action.

Perform your File|Save As operation, carrying all the way to actually saving the file. Then stop recording.

Make sure the little square next to the Save As step in the action palette is toggled ON.

The next time you run that action it will perform all your steps, and pause with a dialog box for file name and location.

Peace,
Tony
