I am a relatively unsophisticated but very enthusiastic PhotoShop user, who is using PhotoShop mainly to edit and enhance images for use in email communications/ newsletters (I’m a Change Manager). What version is best; 7, CS or is there another more appropriate option? Thanks!

UP IS USUALLY BETTER!

but depends on your needs, I’m still on CS1 Don’t feel I need to move on any further, 7 was good too but anything prior to 5.5 is a waste of time.

The best option is always the last one, but you could also consider buying Photoshop Elements. That has all you need, and costs a fraction of the full Photoshop package.

Unless your newsletter needs CMYK separations to print, You can do everything you need using Photoshop Elements, either version 4 (Current) or version 3 (available at steep discount from ~$80.00 List) Regards,
