I just purchased the new Intellimouse explorer 2.0 (great mouse btw), with the side-to-side scrolling tilt wheel. It works fine in internet/windows explorer and the like, but it won’t scroll sideways in Photoshop (the same goes for most programs, granted, but would be quite useful with photoshop. As far as I know, there’s no easy way to set this like it were a keyboard shortcut. I’m just wondering if there’s any addons or tricks out there to get this feature working? I googled it and just found a lot of stores selling photoshop and the mouse. A search through these forums only turns up info on the Wacom pen tilt (the feature as microsoft names it is "tilt wheel").

Check if you can possibly configure it off your Control Panel. I use Logitech mouses, either optical or trackball, and they have a scroll button that lets you scroll any direction.

What makes it such a "great mouse btw" if you can’t scroll horozontally in Photoshop and other applications? Other than the buttons actually working when you click them, it’s a mouse. Nothing more, and nothing all that great, unless it brings you coffee in the morning.

It seems to side-scroll properly for any scrollbar programmed using the win32 library, but there are always some programs out there that build and use their own scrollbars or something (I know I’ve had problems in the past with plain scroll mice and Borland software). Are you sure your logitech will side-scroll in photoshop?

As for why I like the mouse, everything works great (except photoshop?) and I preferred the feel of it to the logitech equivalent (which I understand is also highly regarded).
