Hi guys…first post here so I apoligize if I’ve posted to the wrong group. I have included a very low res and small image of the type of object I’m having trouble with. The intent is to place the object on a reflective surface but a simple vertical transformation leaves a huge gap on the descending side of the object and no amount of rotating/ warping can produce a realistic reflection. I’m sure there is an elegant solution but i’m damned if I can find it. Any help would be greatly appreciated…

Hi Lava, I know the problem well and I came to the conclusion that some things just can’t easily be reflected at all and this is a good example however in this case you could try a work around by duplicating, erasing the lid then slide the box down as the reflection, then carfuly select various markings and cut/copy/flip them. Add your grounding shadow to the box and drop the opacity on the refleced layer(s) then another layer to add the lid.

‘Mirror mirror on the wall who is the prettiest of them all?’ ‘Snow White you dirty bitch and don’t you forget it!’

Thanks so much Kingdom, I’ll give it a try. I think I was begining to suffer from the "forest for the trees" syndrome.
