I have 8 bit layerless tiffs (film scans) about 60Mb on disk which open into versions 6&7 using 120Mb ram. I have just upgraded to CS and they are using 600Mb+ when opened. Any ideas? I couldn’t find anything in the FAQs.

Mathias,

Could one of youse knowledgable guys write a FAQ entry

I was going to, but Scott said what I was going to write was a red herring so I said to myself "screw it"! Funny thing was both he and Chris wrote it a few times themselves!

Edit:

see this thread – a few posts above and the remainder – decided for yourselves if it’s relevant or not
