I am a graduate student currently running Photoshop CS on a Toshiba notebook with Pentium 4M 2.4 and 512 megs of RAM. I have created a series of 125 PS files representing a series of sections through a biological specimen and have successfully animated the series in Image Ready. I would like to create a 3D representation of the data. I don’t have the time or resources to utilize bio-imaging software. Does anyone know of a method of utilizing my PSD/TIF files to create a 3D image? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

No, not with your images, because your images decpict the visuall insides of the object and not the outside. So if you were too look at the model at a distance you would require details abouts its outside also. At least not with Photoshop or any other common 3D programs.

Maybe some special mediacal related program can combine all the slices in to a 3D form ?…..interpolating any missing data.

My images actually include an outline of the object and the cells of interest highlighted inside; the 3D image I need could be internal structure only or both the internal structure and an outline of the external structure.
