I just got an email offering PhotoShop 7 for a very low price. The vendor claims to be selling an OEM version on CD with no box and no manual. I also found another company that sells PS 7 and PS 8 as a download, also at a very low price. These deals seem too good to be true. Has anyone on the list had any experience with this type of thing?

These are bootleg, pirated copies of Photoshop.

That wouldn’t happen to be a scumbag criminal named Art Schwartz, by any chance?

In any event, no legitimate, legal version of Photoshop is sold as a download only. Again, bootleg pirated software.

Unless you buy the download version from the Adobe store.

AFAIK it is illegal to resell OEM software (and I’m not sure Adobe has ever licensed Photoshop OEM, anyway), and Adobe doesn’t provide downloadable copies of Photoshop for vendors to sell.

If it sounds too good to be true it probably is.
