Using photoshop I built a Avery template for the 8879 style business cards. I got down to the nitty gritty of measuring all the lines and break points.

But when I go to print them out on my Epson 2200 something interesting happens. If I use borderless the cards print out wider than design and too close to the top.

Any ideas of how I can print excatly what I have on my template?

A little more information:

Even though I went through the pain of measure and making sure all the lines are start I still can’t get the Epson 2200 to print EXACTLY
as my template is designed.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Borderless printing will scale up the image so that it bleeds off the side of the page. There’s simply no way to get exact printing using this option.

If you save the file as a flattened TIF, you can probably print it using any label printing program. Just plug in the Avery number and it sets up a template and prints correctly on the specified labels.

You may already be doing this, but my biggest tip with these things is to print out tests on normal paper, and then hold the paper and a sheet of the cards up to the light, and make sure things line up without wasting the cards.

Thanks Don

I just thought about printing the cards through MSWord instead of Photoshop (Sorry adobe)

I will report back with results.
